Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy or ‘talk therapy’ seeks to address mental health conditions by talking with a psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist, or other mental health provider. During psychotherapy, you learn about your condition and your moods, feelings, thoughts and behaviors.  Problems helped by psychotherapy include difficulties in coping with daily life; the impact of trauma, medical illness or loss, like the death of a loved one; and specific mental disorders, like depression or anxiety. There are several different types of psychotherapy and some types may work better with certain problems or issues. Psychotherapy may be used in combination with medication or other therapies. Dr. Olabisi’s primary modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Rational Emotive Therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.

Medication Management

Medication management is a level of outpatient treatment that involves the initial evaluation of the patient's need for psychotropic medications, the provision of a prescription, and ongoing medical monitoring related to the patient's use of the psychotropic medication
